My dear friends
Today was one of those days where I had to pray for
the serenity to accept what I could not change. For most of the day I just could not
communicate through my computer. And the silence was deafening!
As it is, for my team to set up the computer on the
special table is a delicate process. Getting the right level and distance that work well
with the eye-controlled system is a fine art. The adjustable table that acts as a desk is
a gift from Onkel Felix and Tante Hilde Strahlecker of Heilbronn in Germany. It was
through normal wear and tear that one of the vital parts broke and had to be repaired or
replaced. So I had to sit and wait patiently.
The worst part was having the meeting of Radio
Khwezi's Management team in my room without a computer in front of me. Being unable to
interact with my colleagues made me feel really handicapped. Thankfully my hearing is
still very good.
Just sitting makes one feel unproductive and that
makes me uneasy. There again I had to look to the Lord to gain the right perspective. Yes,
there is no blessing on laziness but ultimately it is our relationship to the Lord and not
our activity that counts most.
I was reminded of the words from a poem,
"They that wait also work."
In whatever situation we find ourselves inwardly
sitting at the Lord's feet and waiting to hear from Him will reap great benefits. Time
spent waiting on the Lord is not lost.
"She had a sister called Mary, who sat
at the Lord's feet listening to what he said." (Luke 10:39)
Have a blessed week further.
Pressing on!
In His love
