My dear friends
The other day I was visited by Victor Matveyuk. He is part
of the KwaSizabantu team that has been distributing food parcels and clothing to AIDS
orphans.
Our hearts go out to his parents, the family and the Russian American brethren in the USA.
We are also thinking in a special way of his twin brother, Paul and his family who
returned to Russia for ministry.
The story of the twins, Victor and Paul Matveyuk, is a
moving one. They are identical and they seemed inseparable. When I saw them for the first
time in South Africa I was struck by their vigour and love for the Lord. Little did I
imagine that my colleague, Kjell Olsen, and I would soon be visiting them in their home in
Denver, Colorado in 1995.
When we saw how hard and skillfully Victor and Paul worked
it became clear that the 'American dream' would soon be a reality for these young Russian
Americans. They were doing exceptionally well financially. In fact, when I visited them
the following year they took to the building site where they were working on a dream
multimillion dollar mansion.
A few years later after their marriages God called them away
from a situation that seemed so ideal; Victor and his young family to South Africa, Paul
and his back to Russia.
As the song goes, the only way to be happy in Jesus is to
trust and obey!
"So then, King Agrippa, I was not
disobedient to the vision from heaven." (Acts 26;19)
Have a blessed weekend!
Pressing on!
In His love
Fano Sibisi
