My dear friends
11 September might mean different things to different people
since 2001 but our hearts go out to the families and friends of the thousands who perished
on that fateful day. Politics, business and philosophies aside, theirs is a personal loss
of their loved ones.
9/11 took the USA, indeed the whole world, by surprise but
there was no surprise for our omniscient Lord. Regardless of what happens, He remains in
control.
Knowing that God remains in control even in the darkest hour
has been an anchor to me in the five years of walking in the valley of the shadow of
death.
"Even though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff,
they comfort me." (Psalm 23:4)
