As you pray -17 May 2009
Today our thoughts are a lot with
CFT-Switzerland as they will be holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM) this afternoon.
Our hearts go out to Hanna Ziegler, the
children, the whole Spatzenhof family and the Lindach brethren. Our brother Norbert
Ziegler was buried on Friday. He leaves behind a big gap in his family and in the Lord's
work.
For us, another untimely death.
Do we understand?
Do we need to understand?
We bow and worship.
Detlef and Loretta Stegen together with
their sons, Simon and Danilo, came by on their way to Romania. They have to see to some
preparations for the wedding of Simon and Andrea in Voiteg this coming weekend. More
members of the family are due to fly over this week. They will value your prayers.
Greetings from Lionel Roosemont in
Belgium. He says that they are looking forward to the Ascension Day service with Onkel
Friedel in Watou, Belgium, on Thursday.
Lionel also requests prayers for his
trip to Virginia and Washington, USA, towards the end of the week. He will be giving an
address at The International Symposium on Euthanasia.
Mario Rocha has sent a message
from Zavora Clinic in Mozambique where he is helping to finalise things for the
clinic to start operating.
The CEO of Doctors
for Life, Dr Albu van Eeden,
and some DFL friends travelled to Mozambique last week for
the dedication of the clinic which took place on Friday.
Mario requests that we pray
on for Zavora. Bureaucratic red-tape is delaying some important
registrations.
We shall also be thinking of Thomas Maphanga and Tobie Vermaak as
they will be visiting Carlos Vilanculos and the ministry in Mozambique.
The TNT team is thankful for a blessed campaign in the
East Rand, Gauteng.
Here is an excerpt from TNT's
report:
"Last week's TNT outreach to the East Rand went
very well. We had about +15 appointments and addressed over 6 000 people. The meetings
included church groups, primary and high schools...
The schools were
very impressed with the message and thankful to hear the truth in such a clear way. We
were once again able to not only warn about the dangers of drugs and addiction, but preach
the Gospel boldly. Most schools that we visited were Afrikaans. Please pray for those who
came out for advice, prayer and others who said that they were encouraged by the
message."
It was good to hear from George Ochse. He and
a team from Moreson in the Western Cape were
ministering in Oudtshoorn in the Eastern Cape. George
was thankful for all the doors that opened. May the Lord bless the seed
of His word further.
Sanet
de Wet requested that we pray for the services with Tannie
Santa Snyman at Moreson.
We are thankful for the
successful Radio Khwezi AGM yesterday. The atmosphere was lovely.
'Take my life and let it be' by Frances
R Havergal. What a song. What a prayer.
"Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee.
Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.
Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee."
Have a blessed week.
Pressing on!
In His love
