As you pray -20 November 2008

My dear friends

Here is an excerpt from Sanet de Wet's e-mail in Moreson, Western Cape,

"We are thankful for the Lord for His undertaking last weekend at the services for the Youth at Hawston here in Western Cape. We found receptive hearts and urgent invitations to come back next year. Jakobus, our son, spoke to the boys aside and he is very encouraged by their response. This coming Friday we have an opening at the local VGK Church where Gerhard le Roux will join us to speak about drugs and music.

Today Sanet is due to preach at the local hospital. We pray on.

TNT's latest update is encouraging. One is thankful for new opportunities for the ministry.

TNT has also joined the KwaZulu-Natal Substance Abuse Forum. They should be sending a representative to the next meeting on 27 November.

Dr Albu van Eeden and the DFL team are on the road, returning from Angola. They are covering thousands of kilometres over a few days. We pray for travelling mercies.

Jean-Pierre Coulin reports that the CFT team members that were at the evangelical exhibition in Paris earlier this week are thankful for the response they got. They found hearts and minds that were open and sympathetic to areas of concern for CFT. CFT distributed 400 newsletters on pornography, 400 booklets on euthanasia and hundreds of other documents.

The TAK Radio team in Berlin requests prayers for their Saturday and Sunday broadcasts this weekend.

Lest We Forget

When Queen Victoria celebrated her diamond jubilee in 1897, the London Times printed Rudyard Kipling's poem "Recessional." It scandalized the English because instead of celebrating their empire, the poem called them to repentance. The refrain "lest we forget--lest we forget" ended each stanza. England too stood under God's judgment and might vanish as a power on the world stage.

The tumult and the shouting dies;
The captains and the kings depart:
Still stands Thine ancient sacrifice,
An humble and a contrite heart.
Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,
Lest we forget--lest we forget!

Edgar Krentz, Justice and Judgment  - eSermons

Have a blessed weekend.

Pressing on!

In His love

Fano Sibisi
