Thank you very much for the prayers for the CFT Conference.
Indeed, the Lord undertook in a marvellous way; His truth warmed and challenged many a
heart. All praise be to His name.
On Sunday morning it was impressed on me that there is a
special blessing when godfearing children of God come together to express their opposition
to the evil around them and to reaffirm their allegiance to God.
"Then they that feared the LORD spake
often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of
remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon
his name.
And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and
I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him."
(Malachi 3|:16-17)
Our prayers are with Onkel Friedel and Tante Rita as they
begin with yet another preaching tour in Europe. We are thinking of
them and the team that will join them in Europe. May the Lord go before them in every
way.
Yesterday Uncle Bill Bathman celebrated his 60th spiritual
birthday (He was 21 when he met the Lord) back home in the USA. What a privilege and
honour to walk with the Lord and to serve Him in different countries for so many
years. We join the Bathmans in their thanksgiving and praise.
Linda Magqabi from Johannesburg requests our prayers for the
preparations for an outreach to Bizana in the Eastern Cape. Linda was born and bred in
Bizana and he has a burden for that area. Even though the 2-day visit (starting on 24
September) is aimed at schools there is an effort being made to get communities to attend.
One of the focal points will be HIV and AIDS.
An e-mail from Lionel Roosemont in Belgium reminded me of the
ministry of Open Doors. Last Sunday the brethren in Watou invited Open Doors to present
their work and to show a film, a true story on Islamic persecution. We remember God's
children who serve Him in, humanly speaking, impossible circumstances.
Have a blessed week.
Pressing on!
In His love
