As you pray - 27 July 2008

My dear friends

Regula Rasteiro from Paris shared with me about the blessed children's services they had with Ferny Jaegle in Genets d'Or, Alsace, from 14-17 July. We thank God for His precious seed of His Word. May it find fertile soil in our hearts.

These days our hearts were a lot with Onkel Erlo, Onkel Friedel, the team and the brethren at the European Summer Conference in Bilten which started on Thursday and ends today. It is our prayer that much fruit will come out of this conference. May God grant travelling mercies as people return home and strengthen the arms of those who will be tidying up.

Onkel Robert Maeder is with Onkel Erlo and the team in Europe. He sent me a message about the joy and gratitude as the brethren celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Eurochoir. Many of us who are blessed by the Eurochoir join the brethren in wishing the young people God's further blessing.

Our prayers are with the brethren in Romania as their Summer Conference takes place this week. Let us accompany the team as they travel on to Romania.

May God march on in our midst.

Mario Rocha requests prayers for Dr Albu van Eeden and himself. They left today for Mozambique for an important appointment tomorrow on the Zavora Clinic Project.

These days our prayers are also with Michael Ngubane and the team that is ministering in Malelane, Mpumalanga. We understand that they had 6 services yesterday.

The TNT team, consisting of Joseph and Roxane Greyling together with Nico van Zyl left yesterday for presentations in Bloemfontein.

There is quite a schedule awaiting them with many opportunities to warn against drug abuse and to point people to the Ultimate Liberator. Joseph came by on Friday and asked for prayer support.

Many in the service at KwaSizabantu today must have shared my joy when Arno announced that after a period of planning work on the burnt-down auditorium will begin tomorrow. Your prayer support will be appreciated.

Israel Day

Dorothea Killus mentioned to me that today is Israel Day.

The world speaks of Israel's strategic location at the centre of world politics. God's people know that there is more than what meets the eye about Israel.

I was reminded of a story I heard about a man who was asked why He believed there is a God. He replied in two short words, "The Jew."

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Have a blessed week.

Pressing on!

In His love
