As you pray -21 May 2008

My dear friends

Greetings from Klaus Alius in Bielstein. He is thankful for the blessed time they had with George Ochse, Mario Rocha and the group from the Eastern and Western Cape.

Bettina Marayag from Times Square Church in New York requests prayers for Pastors Dave and Gary Wilkerson together with the team as they minister to pastors and leaders in Italy this week. The first service was in Rome yesterday. From tomorrow, Thursday to Saturday they will be in Naples.

Before Tannie Esther Bornman flew to Cape Town yesterday for services at KSB Moreson she wrote and asked for prayer support. Let us remember her and the brethren.

Our prayers are with Dr Albu van Eeden, CEO of Doctors for Life, as he prepares for an important meeting. Here is an excerpt from DFL's e-mail,

Spatzenhof

It was good to hear from Marie-Luise Grau in Spatzenhof yesterday. Spatzenhof is a well-maintained typical German 'hof' (farmstead).

Like me, some of you have pleasant memories of your visits to Spatzenhof.

Being a lover of languages, I enjoyed hearing 'Schwaebisch' (Swabian - incidentally the dialect spoken by my beloved adoptive German family, the Hofers) all around at Spatzenhof.

My wife and others remember Spatzenhof for the blessed youth services they had there in the 80s.

Some went to Spatzenhof for a time of quiet reflection before the Lord, for spiritual and physical replenishment.

How could anyone who has been to Spatzenhof forget Oma Elsa Grau and her household for the warmth and hospitality in their home?

Oma Elsa will be turning 97 on 12 July 2008. We remember her for her love for the Lord, His people and His work. May the God bless her for what she means to many of us.

Have a blessed week further.

Pressing on!

In His love

Fano Sibisi
