As you pray -18 May 2008
My dear friendsMany of you must have shared our joy when you heard that
Onkel Erlo stood behind the KwaSizabantu pulpit again after months of illness that kept
him away from us. Today we were blessed again by his powerful sermon on the Holy Spirit.
This morning Kai Knieper spoke for us
when he said how glad he was that both Onkel Erlo and Onkel Friedel in the service. Onkel
Friedel was overflowing with gratitude and praise to God for 'bringing Onkel Erlo back to
us. There were other spontaneous voices too which joined in the impromptu thanksgiving
session.
We thank God that Onkel Friedel and Tante Rita
are back safely from their five-week trip in Europe. Onkel Friedel shared with us
about his main theme on this tour - God's glory.
Thank you for the prayers for Radio Khwezi's
AGM yesterday. It was indeed a lovely meeting, with a relaxed atmosphere.
From Moreson in the Western Cape Sanet de Wet
requests prayers for a visit and services they are looking forward to. They expect Tannie
Esther Bornman on Tuesday, 20 May.
Sanet will also appreciate your prayers for the
services she is due to take; in the United Reformed Church on Wednesday and in
the local hospital on Thursday.
TNT's Joseph Greyling has asked us to pray for
the organising of the following scheduled presentations:
24 May
2008 - Kranskop & Greytown prisons
29 May 2008 - Donnybrook, with True Love Waits
27 July - 1 August 2008 - Bloemfontein outreach.
Uncle Joe Newlands, Peter Dahl and CFT -
Southern KwaZulu-Natal will appreciate your prayers as they plan for a Pro-Life March
in Matatiele on 31 May.
Greetings from Mario Rocha. He is thankful for
prayers for Doctors for Life's Zavora Clinic Project in Mozambique in which he is
very involved. In spite of obstacles along the way He sees God's hand at work.
Dutch DFL friend, Gerrit Jan Vierhuizen, returned
to Zavora from the Netherlands on Tuesday to continue with the second phase of the
construction.
Mario also requests prayers for a trip to Europe.
Earlier last week He joined George Ochse, Vincent Nkwambi and a group of brethren from the
Eastern Cape who are visiting KwaSizabantu Centres in the Netherlands, Belgium, France,
Germany and Romania. Jan de Bruin is the main organiser on the European side.
Peet Botha and Gideon greeted from Nebraska in
the USA. Gideon flies back to South Africa tomorrow via Paris for a brief visit with his
family and the brethren. Peet flew to Sacramento, California, yesterday for a further week
of ministry before returning home. Let us remember our brothers.
Have a blessed week.
Pressing on!
In His love
Fano Sibisi
