As you pray -4 April 2008

My dear friends

On Sunday, Onkel Friedel thanked the congregation for understanding the situation about Onkel Erlo and for respecting the doctor's orders that he be allowed to rest so that his body might recover. There is an improvement in his health condition and for that we thank the Lord. We pray on.

John Powys is scheduled to speak at the Evangelies Gereformeerde Kerk - Pretoria Tuine on Sunday, 6 April. The organisers, Kirsten van der Merwe and Ds Paul van Heerden, will appreciate your prayers.

We shall also be thinking of the 2008 Association of Christian Broadcasters (ACB) Conference which takes place in Gordon's Bay, Cape, next week (9-11 April). The conference theme is " Challenge of a changing world ... Hope for the future." Peter Rice and Sibongiseni Khumalo will represent Radio Khwezi and we thank our Cape Town friends, Vincent and Leona van Zyl, who will be seeing to them.

TAK Radio in Berlin has a special programme this Saturday afternoon. They will be hosting many True Love Waits young people who will passing on the message of abstinence. May the Lord be glorified in every way.

We rejoice with the families of Eric Fillatre and Claire-Lise Friedli who are to get engaged on 27 April in Bobigny, Paris. May the Lord bless them.

A friend from the USA, Penny SantaRita, writes:

" I attend a big church in Washington DC where the minister has a handicapped daughter and from this has grown a ministry handicapped children. They are having a big conference this weekend. They are also planning to build a Respite Center where the children and families can get help."

Your prayers will be appreciated.

As we pray for different countries let us remember Zimbabwe in a special way. I believe that this is one of the most critical periods in the history of that country.

Have a blessed weekend.

Pressing on!

In His love

Fano Sibisi

PS. In my last prayer-letter I said Mario Rocha was born in Angola. A brother from Germany sent me a correction. Mario was born in Portugal and grew up in Angola.

Thank you.
