As you pray -20 March 2008
My dear friendsOn 7 March I shared with you my heart's cry about some of our
friends in provinces like the Northwest who are facing a devastating drought.
My eyes got moist on Sunday when I read the
following lines from an e-mail by Carel and Sharlene Snyman from Lichtenburg in the
Northwest:
"We would
like to say thank you for all the prayers for rain, we have and are still having wonderful
rain. To say "thank you" seems not enough so we want to be faithful and
live holy and blameless lives and in this way we can thank the Lord for His
faithfulness!"
A report by Tannie Esther Bornman on a
recent evangelisation on a farm in Bergville warmed my heart. She, together with Sizakele
Cwele, Bongani Zondi and Thembinkosi Zuma witnessed the gentle moving of God's Spirit
amongst people. May God in His grace keep walking in our midst.
A team, consisting of Alpheus Mdlalose, Bongani
Zondi and Ntombi Dlamini, drove up to Mpumalanga yesterday to join the
brethren for Easter services at
Schulzendal Mission (Malelane). John Powys says that they are expecting the brethren from
other branches in Mpumalanga. They will value your prayers.
Dr Albu van Eeden and John Powys are invited to
take some of the Easter services at Adullam Mission in Mpumalanga. Let us remember them
and the Adullam brethren.
The Doctors for Life team that is building
the clinic in Zavora, Mozambique, are reaching out to souls as well. On the evening
of Good Friday they want to hold a service in which they would like to show the film
about the crucifixion of Christ. May many a heart meet the Redeemer.
The CEO of Doctors for Life, Dr Albu van
Eeden, requests prayers for the official opening of the Zavora Clinic which has been
planned for 28 March. It promises to be a great government-level function with media
coverage.
From Paraguay in South America, Herbert and
Mientjie Reimer request prayer support for their young ministry.
Greetings from another young couple, Dirk and
Ruth Schobben from Belgium. They would value your prayers for the ministry in Watou, where
they are based.
Arno, Fraenzi and their children flew to Europe
on Tuesday to join the brethren for the Easter services in Southern France. They have
asked for prayer support.
At KwaSizabantu we expect many visitors for the
Easter weekend. Here, and wherever God's children will be gathered to commemorate the
death and resurrection of our Saviour may they be brought and kept near the Cross.
"Near the cross! O Lamb of
God,
Bring its scenes before me;
Help me walk from day to day,
With its shadows oer me."
Have a blessed Easter weekend.
Pressing on!
In His love
Fano Sibisi
