As you pray -13 March 2008

My dear friends

Georg Grau would like to thank us for the prayers for their recent trip to Russia. They were moved by the hunger for spiritual food and openness amongst the people.

The Russian brethren are diligently trying to arrange for a summer conference in their country. May the Lord lead and guide them.

Georg also asked that we pray for the conference at Lindach with Onkel Friedel and the team from today to Monday (March 13-17)

Part of me flew with Onkel Friedel and Tante Rita to Europe on Tuesday. Our prayers will accompany them as they will be ministering from place to place.

On Sunday Hans Koller thanked God for another visit to KwaSizabantu and said goodbye to the congregation. I was moved when I heard that after three years of helping out at KwaSizabantu his son, Karsten, flies back with him to Romania tomorrow. Karsten feels a strong urge to assist his father in the ministry. May the Lord be glorified in every way.

Today I took special note of the theme that Lindiwe Phungula chose for Thursday's Women's Prayer Day at Radio Khwezi. She focussed on the growing phenomenon of attacks by evil spirits on some schools in South Africa. There was a great response from the listeners who cried out to God for mercy and called on the country to repent.

This reminded me that just yesterday BBC World Service had a sad feature on violence in some South African schools.

In the light of the two issues that have been highlighted, one appreciates even more the week-daily visits by several KSB teams to local schools and those in surrounding areas. I understand that tomorrow, the last day of the outreach before the Easter break, about 15 schools will be visited. Your ongoing prayer support will be valued.

As the Lord reminds us let us pray for Life Place, Doctors for Life's ministry amongst the prostitutes in Durban.

The TNT team, consisting of Joseph Greyling, Philippe Coetzee and Jochen Mimpen, will leave tomorrow for the week-long outreach in Zastron, Free State. Jan and Gwen van Hasselt organised the trip.

For those who would like to pray for the team in more detail, here is the planned itinerary:
