As you pray -23 February 2008
My dear friendsTNT has got quite a programme for this weekend and next week. Let
us accompany them in prayer.
Vereeniging:
24 - 29 February 2008. The team will consist of Martin vd Merwe, Nico van Zyl and Archie
van der Walt.
Greytown
Area: 23 February 2008. True Love Waits will also be part of this outreach.
Wasbank:
25
February 2008. It is for a High School in the area, with True Love Waits.
Wartburg:
28
February 2008. This was already booked last year, for 3 schools.
John Powys says that they have a
special weekend of services at the Malelane Centre in Mpumalanga. They are expecting
people from different outposts, Carlos Vilanculos from Mozambique and a team from
KwaSizabantu, consisting of Jabulani Dube, Bongani Zondi, Ntombi Mgidi and Busi Hadebe. It
is their prayer that the Lord will truly work and that His name will be glorified and
people's lives eternally changed.
Gideon Jacobs requests prayers for tomorrow. He
is scheduled to preach at the Dutch Reformed Church in Burgersdorp in the morning and then
drive back home to Smithfield for another service.
Johan Claassen from Doctors for Life requests
further prayers for the Zavora Clinic Project in Mozambique which has reached another
critical stage. The plan is to build the clinic over this coming month.
Next week Johan, Jan Roos and Mario Rocha should be on their way to Mozambique
with a truck, a container and a pickup to transport valuable materials
over. Checking through the border can sometimes take days, so, please pray.
Dutch DFL friends and sponsors are in the
forefront of this project. Dr Paul Zuidema and Gerrit-Jan Vierhuizen are due to join
the team from South Africa in Mozambique on 5 March.
Whilst building the clinic the team would also
like to hold services and show Christian films.
A young lady from the Hamburg area, Aleta
Sopha (whom I know as a toddler), has a heart for DFL work. She is trying to raise funds
in Germany for a mobile clinic for DFL. Remember her and the project.
Hans Hertel in Berlin says that the TAK
Radio team has unexpectedly been offered an additional 30 minutes to their usual 1 hour
for tomorrow, Sunday's programme. Remember them in prayer.
The Berlin brethren have been invited to preach in a church of Vietnamese nationals
tomorrow. Many of them came to East Germany during the communist time and stayed in the
country after re-unification. It is the brethren's prayer is that our Lord shall be
glorified through His Word.
Louis-Michel Fillatre from Montmiral is attending the congress of all Christian
schools in France, Belgium and Switzerland which takes place in Alsace this weekend. He
has been asked to address the conference on the topic 'The pedagogy of God the Father.' He
will appreciate your prayers.
From 'de Cederborg' Jan de Bruin requests prayers for the conference of
KSB-Netherlands this weekend. Daniel Kalisky will also be visiting the Dutch
brethren.
The brethren will also be having an outreach in Groningen this afternoon
where they will be handing out copies of the devotional 'Het Rechte Spoor.'
Have a blessed weekend.
Pressing on!
In His love
