As you pray - 16 June 2007
My dear friendsConsidering the state of my health
in the last seven years it is indeed a miracle that I reached the 50-year milestone
yesterday. My heart is full of gratitude and praise to my Lord and my God whose hand is
good to me. Only He has the full picture of the path that I am walking. My eyes are on
Him.
Thank you
very much for all the birthday greetings, prayers and presents. Much appreciated.
The excessive
salivation war is on. Most probably I shall have to go back to Parklands Hospital for
further treatment. Pray with us for divine guidance in the critical decisions that have to
be taken for the way forward.
Gideon Jacobs
requests your prayers; he has to take three services in Uitenhage, Eastern Cape, today.
Recently I
was shocked and saddened by statements that were made by one of the leaders of the unions
that are part of the now two-week old strike in South Africa. He said the strike would
carry on till Jesus returns if the government does not meet their demands. And then he
added that even if Jesus did return the strike would carry on.
Such arrogant
blasphemous utterances remind one of our Lord's prayer on the cross,
"Then
said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."
(Luke 23:34)
Have a
blessed weekend.
Pressing on!
In His love
