| My dear friends We join Doctors for Life in giving praise to the Lord for the news
from Mozambique. After a trying period of bureaucratic hindrances and delays the Minister
of Health has finally put his official seal of approval for DFL's Zavora clinic. DFL would
like to thank you for the prayer support.
There is a special blessing on sharing the Good News. I was
glad when Marijcke Ockhuysen shared with me that at the Cederborg they celebrated
Christmas and New Year by performing a musical for the children in their neighbourhood.
She says that the event was well attended and the meaning and purpose of Christ's coming
in the world was very clearly conveyed.
This weekend is an exciting one for the Cederborg in
Northern Netherlands. Many of the Swiss brethren will be accompanying Philemon Wenger to
the Cederborg for his wedding to Jiska Hoetmer on Saturday. International and national
guests are expected. Onkel Friedel Stegen will conduct the wedding.
May the Lord bless the young couple.
The Berlin brethren request you to pray for their TAK Radio
hour on Sunday afternoon. Their focus will be the recent international conference in
Druhwald, Steinbeck bei Bispingen, whose theme was "Purification and
Sanctification" (Reinigung und Heiligung). They will be having interviews with Marc
Mertens from Belgium and Dr Manfred Knoch from Germany.
We at Radio Khwezi are thankful for the contribution to our
programming by TAK and other European initiatives.
Here is an excerpt from a prayer request that was sent by
Bettina Marayag from Times Square Church in New York:
"Pastor Dave and Gary will be ministering to
pastors, leaders and their spouses in Dominican Republic from January 11th to the 13th.
Your prayer support is vital to this ministry.
Please pray for the glory of God to come in all our
meetings, for the manifest presence of the Lord, for divine order, heavenly worship, for
liberty to deliver the WORD, for the interpreters to translate in the most excellent way,
anointing of the Holy Spirit, for encouragement, renewed passion for Christ, changed
hearts of all attendees, divine order, wisdom, strength, traveling mercies for Pastor
Dave, Gary, Bettina and team, for protection of our families while overseas."
Our prayers are with the brethren at the youth camp in
Malmesbury, Western Cape. Dumisani Makhoba and some young preachers from Domino Servite
School drove down for the camp which started on Sunday, 7 January, and ends on Sunday, 14
January.
In South Africa the new academic year is upon us. My heart
goes out to teachers at Christian schools like Domino Servite School who have a calling
from above. Humanly speaking, material benefits for them are limited, the workload is
heavy but their reward from the Great Shepherd is out of this world. Remember them and
their folds before the Lord.
"May the God of peace, who through the
blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great
Shepherd of the sheep,
equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing
to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." (Heb
13:20-21)
Have a blessed weekend.
Pressing on!
In His love
