| Thank God for modern technology that gets used
for good purposes. A message has just come through from John Powys who is presently
ministering in Bulgaria. He is thankful to see how God's Word is speaking to people's
hearts. We pray on. Frans Gunnink has confirmed that
Dr Peet and Andra Botha landed safely in the Netherlands yesterday. Peet's first
presentation on what the Bible has to say about homosexuality will be today. Let us keep
praying.
Gideon Jacobs and the Smithfield brethren will value your
ongoing prayer support. Last weekend, Gideon, his wife Sandra and two of their daughters
were in Uitenhage, near Port Elizabeth, where they had to address meetings on the topic
"The Family."
This weekend, the Smithfield team is ministering in
Burgersdorp to the farmers and their workers. They will conduct the Sunday morning in the
Burgersdorp Dutch Reformed Church and thereafter drive back for the afternoon service in
Smithfield.
Another project for which Gideon requests prayer is a farm
that they have bought in Ladybrand, near the Lesotho border. This has opened new avenues
for the Gospel. There is still much to be done and the farm boundaries need to be secured
properly.
"Pray also for me, that whenever I open
my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the
gospel,
for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I
should." (Ephesians 6:19-20)
Have a blessed weekend.
Pressing on!
In His love
