Christmas is not just for Christians

Listening to the radio these days the announcer ended his programme by wishing "all the christian listeners a happy Christmas". He's missed the point. And so have millions of others. Christmas is for all of us. Luke 2: 10 says: "Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people". Yes, that means you and your uncoverted neighbour and the pagan living across the seas or in New York city.

The Gospel (which is the Good News) is for everybody. If you exclude yourself from the "good tidings of great joy for all people", well, you've only got yourself to blame. If you really want to go to the other place, down there, just keep on ignoring the Christmas message which God intended for YOU.
