Soccer 2010 - CFT Outreach

CFT is busy with a major evangelistic outreach at various FIFA
"Fan Parks". By today (30 June), in KZN fan parks, 22000 pamphlets (see copy
below of The Ultimate Goal), have been handed out. CFT members together with many other
churches, have been busy with this project in various Provinces of South Africa.
Those doing outreach in Durban report that 3 people have given their
hearts to the Lord through one-on-one witnessing.
There is also a CFT trailer with an A-Frame which has two messages:
Christ died for the ungodly - Jesus said: Come unto me and I will give you rest". The
other side of the A-Frame has various warnings against the sex industry. Child trafficking
and prostitution are often dangers during an international event of this scale.
We were happy to note that a major news network reported that
"sex workers" are complaining about the lack of customers.
There have been many opportunities to witness to people of all
different sorts and nations (as seen in some of the photos below).
Some churches have asked CFT leaders to give talks in their churches
about evangelizing.

THE ULTIMATE GOAL
WELCOME
TO THE WORLD CUP IN SOUTH AFRICA!
You are here to support your country and team. It is your hope and desire that your
country will be “World Champions” on July 11th! This is “The Ultimate
Goal”.
But let us tell you of even a more important “goal” that you should have. That
is, the “goal” of being declared a righteous follower of the ONE TRUE GOD, and
thus assured of an eternal home in heaven some day when you die!
It is written in GOD’s Word the Bible that, “THERE
IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO NOT ONE, FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF
GOD.” (Romans 3:10,23) But it need not be that way!
For it is written, “GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS LOVE
TOWARDS US IN THAT WHILE WE WERE YET SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US.” ( Romans 5:8) THAT
CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES, AND THAT HE WAS BURIED, AND THAT HE
ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
The ONE TRUE GOD has provided the only way that you and I can be totally
forgiven from all our sins. That way is through HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST! For it
is written, “THAT IF YOU WILL CONFESS WITH
YOUR MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, AND SHALL BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD HAS RAISED HIM FROM
THE DEAD, YOU SHALL BE SAVED, FOR WHOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD, SHALL
BE SAVED.” (Romans 10:9,13)
Please consider, that this salvation from sin cannot be purchased or earned by you and me.
GOD’s true salvation is a totally free gift! GOD’s Word says “FOR BY GRACE ARE YOU SAVED THROUGH FAITH,
AND THAT NOT OF YOURSELVES, IT IS A GIFT OF GOD, NOT OF WORKS, SO NO MAN SHOULD
BOAST.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
If truly “SAVED”,
the evidence will be a changed life turning from sin. For it is written, “IF ANYONE BE IN CHRIST, THEY ARE A NEW CREATURE,
OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY, BEHOLD ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW.” (2 Corinthians
5:17).
So call on the Lord now, and heaven will be your “Ultimate Goal.”
