Media Release LIFE CHAIN 3 to 5
October 2008
Abortion remains cruel and criminal
CFT, together with other SA
organisations, together with thousands of other groups across the world, are joining hands
for the regular LIFE CHAIN this weekend. Officially, Sunday 5 October 2008, is the date
for the International Life Chain, and it will be happening in about 900 locations across
the world. CFT is involved in Life Chains at various places on Saturday and Sunday. These
include: Empangeni, Durban, Bloemfontein, Nelspruit, Johannesburg and Cape Town.
Life Chains have been held
internationally since 1987 and, in our country, since 1992 (when it became obvious that
the new order was intent on legalizing abortion on demand). Since the `Termination of
Pregnancy law was promulgated on 1 February 1997, over 600,000 South African babies
have been aborted.
Most of the assistance to get the
abortion laws into action (and into our education system) has been rendered by Planned
Parenthood International. It is ironical that the founder of PPI was Mrs Margaret Sanger
who openly stated that she was motivated by the need to reduce the rapid growth of the coloured
races in America. So, we now have the situation that the chief advisor to
our Health and Education Departments is founded on racist reasons to diminish the increase
of black babies. (Contact us if you dont believe the claims about Mrs Sanger
other things she said about blacks were far worse than we are quoting.) Another classic
quote from her was: "The most merciful thing a large
family can do for one of its infants is to kill it."
It seems to amaze the media and they
make major news about the increasing numbers of newborn babies being discarded in pit
latrines and rubbish dumps. This begs the question: whats wrong with infanticide if
its alright to kill the baby when its safe and sound in the mothers
womb? The culture of violence to unborn babies is only naturally being played out after
birth as well. The real worth of a human being is cheapened since our Government condones
and even encourages its citizens to abort their unwanted unborn babies.
That abortion is cruel and criminal is
indisputable. Firstly, the cruelty to a tiny human being being sucked out of the
mother is torture of the worst extreme. And yes, the baby does feel it. For years now,
high-resolution ultra-sound cameras have recorded how babies desperately try to get away
from the inserted instrument which seeks to break into pieces before extracting it. The
baby is SCRAPED out, SUCKED out, CUT out or by whatever means is the quickest and easiest
at the time in order to terminate a pregnancy that someone started (often by the
government hospitals having given a pill to the pregnant mother to induce a miscarriage).
Secondly, it is criminal to kill babies whether they are still in the womb
or already born. If the laws of the land protect legal abortions it is STILL criminal.
Apartheid was completely protected by numerous laws but it was, and always will be,
immoral and criminal. It should be criminal in our courts, and pro-lifers the world over
are seeking to overturn pro-abortion laws (watch the 4th November election in
the USA and how important the issue of abortion is to voters). And, abortion is criminal
in Gods court for He has declared:
"Keep far from a false charge, and
do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for I will not acquit the guilty" Exodus
