Women's Day outreach to The Workshop, Dbn A team from Christians for Truth went to Durban on National Women's Day, 9 Aug 2007, to proclaim to the world once again that Jesus Christ is Lord and can deliver from sin. Many spoke from God's Word and others gave their testimonies of how the Lord saved them. The service started at 12pm and continued until 4pm. But although it was so long, the people thronged together even while we were unpacking and most stayed until the end. They were hungry and thirsty and drank in the Water of Life. The park and walkway all around The Workshop was mostly packed with listeners. About 400 to 500 gathered together and quite a few came for counseling while the service was underway and asked to be shown the way of salvation. Mrs Jenny Christmas was the MC and won the people's hearts with her warm and enthusiastic demeanor. Rev Joe Newlands preached from Prov. 14:12, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death". He spoke to the heart of the Zulu people and won them with his command of the Zulu language. Various others gave touching testimonies and urged the people to commit their lives to God. In everything we give thanks to God for His rich blessing on the work. We felt His presence and leading. We can truly say that God undertook and blessed even above our expectations.
