Aim of the Bill:

To regulate traditional healers.

DFL's concerns regarding the Bill:

Traditional healers will have status similar to that of medical doctors even though they did not have any training
There is no measurable standard for qualification or training of a traditional healer
The Bill precludes accountability on the part of traditional healers by providing for communication with ancestral spirits in traditional health practice.
Traditional health practice does not have to be "supported by science".
Traditional medicine does not have to be registered, nor does the contents have to be disclosed
