Life Chain, 21 March 2006

(more photos here)
The Life Chain started just after 2pm and was led by MC Mr Agrippa
Gasa.
We had not expected many people but to our thankful surprise about
200 arrived.
So with around 200 people we had a wonderful time together with a lovely atmosphere
standing along Marine Parade proclaiming our message.
The venue for the address and prayer this time was closer to the street for the people
walking past and for the cars and proved to be more effectual.
Under the cool shade of a tree Ruth Schroeder gave an effective
and motivated address on the Rights of people. She stressed the fact that with rights come
responsibilities something which people tend to overlook or refuse to accept.
A Daily News Reporter Ayanda Mhlongo was present. She gave a very positive and indepth
report on the Life Chain action in the Daily News of the following Day 22.03.06. She
had a small child holding a poster Abortion kills Babies in the report as
well. Ayanda had faced the decision of aborting her child herself having been
advised to do it by a social worker. She said that her godmother thankfully advised her
against it and today she has a beautiful, loving young daughter!
Many responded positively to our message. Others were indifferent.
Somebody argued that an embryo is not a child!
The lovely posters printed by Khanya Press were again a great help
to effectively display our message. By Gods grace we do not want to give up to speak
in this way for those who cannot speak for themselves.
We keep praying that the Lord will motivate Christians more and
more to take their stand against the wrongs and evils of our society.
The proceedings were closed with prayer and a compelling closing
address by Kjell.
